Professional Furniture Finishing Techniques

This two day class is tailored especially for woodworkers who are uneasy about the finishing process and wish to master the basic knowledge and techniques that will enable professional finishing results using easily available materials.

In a two-day class, John will cover some of the basic qualities of shellac and alcohol— how to buy it, how to mix it, and most importantly, how to apply it! Students will learn the many ways in which furniture can be finished with shellac. They will learn brushing, padding, and a primer on French polishing.
